About the Journal

Islamic Legal Insight Journal is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the critical exploration of the relationship between formal legal systems, normative traditions, and ethical frameworks. It serves as a platform for analyzing how legal doctrines develop within specific cultural and moral contexts and encourages research that bridges the gap between positive law and deeply rooted jurisprudential values. We invite contributions that explore the philosophy of law, comparative law, and the application of normative principles to address contemporary socio-legal challenges, while also providing a space for rigorous academic discourse on the fundamental pillars of justice and the legal order.

Furthermore, the journal promotes a pluralistic approach to legal studies by welcoming manuscripts that explore the intersection between state law and customary law traditions, as well as Islamic law as an established jurisprudential system. We aim to foster a multidisciplinary dialogue encompassing human rights, governance, legal ethics, and the evolution of religious practices and social norms in global society. By promoting high-quality research from both theoretical and practical perspectives, NOMOS seeks to advance understanding of how traditional wisdom and religious ethical considerations can be reconciled with modern legal systems to promote justice, social cohesion, and the rule of law.
