Abstract

This study aims to examine the creative implementation of the Character-Based Islamic Religious Education (PAIS) Program in developing the character of early childhood in Kindergarten (TKS). This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving 20 informants consisting of principals, teachers, students, and parents. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis through data reduction, categorization, theme identification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation of sources and techniques used to ensure data credibility. The results show that the Character-Based PAIS Program is implemented as a daily school culture through religious habits, creative learning activities, social and environmental practices, and school-family collaboration. These activities include reading the Qur'an, memorizing the Qur'an, praying, salawat, istighasah, LISAM, sharing, CRIDO, and role-playing. This study concludes that the creative implementation transforms religious values into concrete, consistent, and child-friendly experiences. These findings imply that schools should strengthen teacher creativity, maintain consistent practices, systematically document implementation, and develop ongoing collaboration with parents to support sustainable character development.
